A balance of sweet and savory ingredients, this fig radicchio salad is a mix of arugula, crumbled gorgonzola, walnuts tossed in maple lemon vinaigrette.


  • For salad
  • 1 head radicchio, cored and chopped
  • 1 ounce arugula
  • 1012 fresh figs, quartered
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup crumbled gorgonzola
  • For vinaigrette
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  1. In a large bowl, combine the radicchio, arugula, figs, scallions, walnuts and gorgonzola.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, maple syrup, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad, gently tossing to combine.
