Easy Cinnamon Scones

All-Purpose Flour

Sugar

Vanilla Extract

Milk

Cold Butter

Maple Syrup

Egg

Cinnamon

Salt

Baking Powder

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.

Use a fork to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles pea-sized clumps. You can also use your fingers to rub the butter into the dry ingredients.

Whisk the egg, milk, maple syrup and vanilla extract in a small bowl.

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until they turn into a shaggy dough. Then press it together with your hands.

Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

Scoop out the dough onto a parchment paper-lined sheet pan.  Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.

Bake the scones until they are golden brown, about 18-20 minutes. Let them cool on a wire rack.
