Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, sugar, salt and lemon zest.
Cut the butter into the dry ingredients.
Whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla extract. Toss the blueberries in a tablespoon of flour.
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Then fold in the blueberries.
Scoop the dough onto the pan. Brush the tops with milk.
Bake the scones until they are golden brown.
