Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. On a baking sheet, drizzle the baguette slices on both sides with olive oil.

Toast the bread until golden brown, flipping halfway through baking, about 16-18 minutes. Then rub the toasted bread with a garlic clove.

In a large bowl, stir the tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

Let the tomatoes and mozzarella marinate for 15 minutes. Then stir in the fresh basil leaves.

Spoon the tomatoes and mozzarella onto the toasted bread. Sprinkle with black pepper to finish it.
