To make the nut-seed mixture, combine the almonds, sesame seeds, cumin, salt and pepper in a small bowl.

Trim the stems off the bunches of broccoli, so they are about 3-4 inches long. Then slice them lengthwise into mini trees that are 1/2-inch-thick.

For the marinade, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.

Pour the marinade on the broccoli, tossing to make sure it is coated.

Grill the broccoli 3-4 minutes per side over medium high heat until it is lightly charred and tender but still crisp.

Sprinkle the nut-seed mixture and lemon zest over the grilled broccoli.
