Wrap the tofu in paper towels and place a heavy pot or cutting board on top of it. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Then cut it into 1 1/2-inch x 1-inch pieces.
To marinate the tofu, combine the turmeric, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, coriander, salt, pepper, lemon juice and oil in a large bowl.
Then stir in the tofu.
