Light Brown Sugar

Baking Powder Baking Soda Salt



All-Purpose Flour

Granulated Sugar

Vanilla Extract


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.

Using an electric mixer, beat the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar for 4 minutes until pale and fluffy.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until the mixture is fully combined.

With a mixer on low speed or by hand with a spoon, mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Stir the m&ms into the cookie dough when you can only see a few streaks of the flour mixture.

Portion out the dough spacing the balls 3 inches apart. It helps to use a cookie scoop to do this.

Bake the cookies until they are light golden brown on the edges.  Immediately after you take the pan out of the oven, press additional m&ms into the tops of the warm cookies.

Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
