Cornbread  Croutons

Cornbread: Cut into 1-inch cubes

Olive Oil

Salt

You can use homemade cornbread, a mix or store-bought cornbread.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. On a sheet pan, toss the cubed cornbread with olive oil and salt. Spread it out into a single layer, so each piece makes direct contact with the pan.

Toast the bread for 20-25 minutes, flipping over halfway through baking, until the croutons are golden brown. They will continue to get crispy as they cool at room temperature.

You can use the croutons in salads. Or top bowls of soup, stew and chili with them.
