Drizzle the sliced baguette with olive oil on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Rub the toasted bread all over with a whole garlic clove.

Toast the bread until golden brown on both sides, about 16-18 minutes.

Combine the tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper in a large bowl.

Let the mixture marinate for 15 minutes. After that, stir in the fresh basil leaves.

Spoon the tomatoes and mozzarella onto the toasted bread. Sprinkle with black pepper.
